On January 7, 2025, wildfire photographer Kevin Cooley was shooting the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles when his wife, Bridget, called in a panic — their Altadena neighborhood was also in flames. He raced across the city only to film his own house and studio burn to the ground. When his two worlds collapse, it’s no longer a job but a day of reckoning.
